For our residents—who are placed in our care through legal and court directives—this program is a critical bridge from vulnerability to financial dignity, self-worth, and structural independence.
We don’t believe in limitations; we believe in tailored opportunities. By focusing on the unique motor skills, interests, and cognitive strengths of each student, we train them in eco-friendly, traditional, and commercial crafts that give them a purposeful role in society.
Our Vocational Craft & Skill Sectors
Our residential workshop operates as a space of vibrant creativity and focused learning. Students are trained under expert supervision in several highly valued, hand-crafted trades:
Eco-Friendly Paper Bags & Envelopes: Students learn to cut, fold, and glue recycled materials and newspaper into durable bags. This builds precise fine motor skills and introduces them to green, sustainable manufacturing.
Handcrafted Wax Candles: From simple utility candles to beautifully scented and decorative festival diyas, our students master the safe handling, molding, and coloring of wax, prepping them for festive market demands.
Festive Lanterns (Akash Kandil): Capturing the spirit of celebration, our residents learn to assemble intricate, colorful traditional lanterns for festivals like Diwali, building advanced coordination and spatial design skills.
Artificial Flower Making & Garlands: A highly therapeutic craft that involves cutting, shaping, and stringing vibrant artificial flora into beautiful torans (door hangings) and garlands used widely across celebrations.
Packaging & Presentation: Vocational training isn’t just about making products; it’s about finishing them. Students are taught how to count, sort, label, and neatly package finished goods, giving them an understanding of market readiness.
